How to Receive an Editing Quote
The first step is to provide me with details about your project. Using the email address below, tell me the type of manuscript (novel, memoir, short story collection, etc.) and the genre, if applicable. Also, provide your manuscript’s total word count and tell me a little about the work you have done on it. Have you workshopped the book? Gotten feedback from a critique group? It is also helpful to know what you consider to be your strengths and weaknesses as a writer, if you are able to identify them. It’s okay if you can’t.
What Happens Next
When I receive your information, I will then email or call you (your choice) to discuss your project. If we think we are a good fit for one another, I may request to see some pages or your full manuscript in order to provide a written quote. Rest assured that all material you share with me is held strictly in confidence whether we end up working together or not.
Be aware that as of Spring 2017, my editing schedule is filled through the end of the year. I am unable to do sample edits at this time. However, we can discuss your manuscript and editing needs now, and I can provide you a quote for our future work together. A modest deposit holds a place in my schedule. Contact me directly to discuss this further.
